"Extend Unlock" not working with "Trusted Places" (i.e., Home)

On my Samsung S23 Ultra (through Verizon), the "Extend Unlock" feature is not working with "Trusted Places" (set to my home address selected using Google Maps) while I am home. Even with that set in "Trusted Places" (and being there!), I'm having to enter my phone's 4-digit PIN *each* time I turn on my phone -- even if it's a minute after it was on the previous time. (I also have a "Trusted Device" specified (my laptop which is almost always running), but my phone doesn't appear to recognize that either as I still have to input my phone's 4-digit PIN each time I turn it on.) This is very frustrating!

Surprise!! I think they're in cahoots with Microsoft for stuff that should be working but don't for some god unknown reason that NOBODY at either company and never bother addressing. 

Things would be different if we stopped buying their *****.

I just started to have this problem too, but I think I may have resolved it.  Go to Settings  -> Extend Lock -> Trusted Places -> Add Trusted Place, then use your finger to move the red pin closer to your neighbor's house (basically a little bit further outside of your property line) and then tap Select This Location.  It increased the range of my Trusted Place and is now working properly for me.

Thanks for sharing your Chat support tip (my Chat person was completely unfamiliar with my phone and the settings menu options, and gave me vague, inapplicable suggestions in a completely illogical order... (obviously needs a new job...)

PS can someone tell me how to reset the mobile network? I have T-Mobile... (and a new ZFlip6, they just switched me over last week...)

Unable to delete Trusted Place - once I put it in, now I can only turn it off or on, but not disappear it. When I've tried to re-enter it, Extend Unlock just says it's already been listed, and won't replace it.

Tried that, too - but it didn't work for me (zflip6) - even used map coordinates rather than street address (since I found no way to completely delete the street address (only toggle off or on), and it wouldn't let me enter the same address twice) - but no luck.

Isn't it great? You're not doing anything wrong, it's Samsung.  Mine now only works after dinner (????????). It's akin to issues with Microsoft.  Who thinks these issues will ever be fixed? NOOOOOOOO BODY. (For the Canadians, they'll understand that reference.

Aug 2024 UK. Replaced my beloved Huawei P Smart 2018 with Samsung A25 as my Son has one and I didnt have time to do my usual deep research!

Im really shocked that my trusted places is no where near working after trying everything inc. stated wifi preference.

Generally, although 5yrs old , my Huawei was better designed and nicer to use. I thought phones would have moved on more during that time! 😞
