How do I stop my gallery from losing my recently taken photos and uploading them upto my google photos or one drive? I don't know how and why, I expected with sync that my photos would remain in the gallery app however my photos keep disappearing (they are saved in my phone) and I cant access them locally to send directly to a friend or post any photos online?

In essence your photo's should remain in your Gallery even if the phone is set to back up to OneDrive or Google Photo's unless there's a setting in these vaults I'm not aware of @poompim 

Have a look at all the settings relevant to syncing as you'll be able to turn them off however the worry is that if the phone has a failure or is lost or stolen then your photo's on the phone will be gone too.

Personally I use Dropbox.
