This new update sucks it reminds me of apple. It has made doing things with 1 hand incredibly inconvenient. Is it possible to reverse. I left apple years ago because of how horrible there os looked and samsung is turing into a cheap version of apple. Plz tell me there is a way to reverse the update or change the icon styles while removing the two different swipe down sides one for notifications and the other side for setting. And change that horrible bubble that shows a battery % and change it back to its former style. Basically if I can't get rid of the downgrade of a software they upgraded me to can I swap everything back to the style of the old os. If I can't I might as well switch to apple because if I am going to have to use a worse version of apple might as well just use the same thing and I am asking for 6people rn my entire family is collectively losing there minds over how bad this update was. So plz any help would be extremely recommended.

Samsung, you should be ashamed. You changed the system to a worse one for so many users without giving them the option to return. Putting us in this situation does not speak well of you. I have been using Samsung phones for 20 years, my wife and children for 10. But it looks like you will have to change to a company with user-friendly models. Maybe when your sales drop, you will start to appreciate your users. The new version does not display the WiFi Calling icon and when I am abroad, I do not know if I will pay for Roaming when receiving a call. For me, the new version is a downgrade!

I agree. I don't want a huge white blob, most of which is empty. I just want to glance at my phone and easily see the date and time.

I don't remember seeing anything which gave me the option to install or not. Not a fan

I honestly don't know what the issue is with the update, despite what's being said on various forums 'there is no way to revert back' it's made perfectly clear in the information regarding ANY updates that you cannot "go back" to the previous version, this is due to the security section of the update.
There are plenty of apps that enable you to fully customise your Samsung to how you like it, Good lock for example has a plethora of settings, homepage layout options. That's the appeal of having a Samsung device with all the customisation that you can do. As for comments about battery drain etc. I've not noticed anything like that on my S25U. I think some of 'comments' are bots and really a lot the so called 'issues' people are having is a 1st world problem that's easily rectified via custom apps.

Just found out you can click the little pen on the panel with quick settings. Then go to panel settings in the upper left corner, and then you can change the quick settings and notification panel from 'seperate' to 'together'. This allows you to have it a little more like before the update.

I hate this update. The change in my icons and how I get to my settings and notifications now is quite jarring and I despise this so much. It is not user-friendly in the slightest.

Edited on 6/18/25 - My phone also uses up *more* battery since this update and doesn't last nearly as long as it used to. This update is using too many resources, in my opinion, if I'm having to charge my phone even more often now. I hate that these updates are forced onto us and we can't continue to decline them or revert back to a better working update.
