According to some reports, people who updated One Ui 7 on their Galaxy S23 have encountered some issues, such as the Now Bar being asymmetrical and the AOD settings. I haven't received it yet, but I'm wondering if it's worth updating when I get it or if I should wait for it to be fixed. Are there any opinions that will help with this issue?

It updated on my S23 Ultra last night. I can't open the settings menu. The navigation bar on the bottom of the screen is vanished. I can't swipe down the navigation bar on the top of the screen where the flasglight is. It is a mess. I hate it.

My S23 updated last night and it is unusable. The home button is gone, so I can't exit apps. The Settings app won't open. Some push notifications I need for work no longer come through... I have been loyal to Android/Samsung for years, but this is unacceptable.

I figured out how to fix the problems I was hitting. When the phone boots up, it first goes to a One UI setup screen that says something like "Welcome". Then there is an option to "Start" and an option to "skip to home screen". Whenever I selected "start", I would be brought to a Samsung AI setup screen, which would then crash, and I would be brought to my home screen. At this point, my phone would be in a non-operable state, with a back button in the bottom left. The home button (swiping up from the bottom center of the screen) no longer worked, and the phone was barely functional.
My theory is that even though the One UI setup crashed, part of the phone still thought it was in the One UI setup mode, hence the back button in the bottom left, and the inability to go "home". If I restart the phone and select the "skip to home" option in the "welcome" screen, my phone works fine. So the bug is in the One UI setup. Common Samsung, get it together!

The Now Bar is definitely asymmetrical. Sometimes it is, sometimes it is not but most of the time it is. I have strong feelings about OneUI 7 like the dumb UI decisions of: hiding information from the status bar like BLUETOOTH... honestly wouldn't recommend updating unless Samsung gives us more options to fix their garbage decisions.

Samsung’s One UI 7 (Android 15) is rolling out now, bringing Galaxy AI tools, the new Now Bar, refreshed visuals, and camera magic to your phone! 🚀 Check your Settings → Software update to grab it, then tell us—which feature are you most excited to try? For more

The biggest problem is. That it's entirely new overall. Not a bit of my phone feels like 'my phone' anymore notification bar is as awkward as iphones is . App screen how has the search button at the bottom so I'm constantly accidentally pressing it. The new icons are a lot more eye catching and clean but why. Also why do I need to know my WiFi is wifi 5 . ? I understood wifi 6 wifi cause it was new and fast. It's just random along with the camera app changing and relocating all buttons

Don't do it, looks like I have lost everything! I just allowed the update and now my phone wont reboot. After troubleshooting all the so called 'fixes' it now looks like the only option is a full factory reset and without access to the home screen there is no way to back anything up.

I dont think I will ever update
I had to factory reset my Galaxy S23FE phone to get some normalcy, everything was messed up after the UI 7.0
Thanks Samsung, but not this time
