One UI 6 Issues

Just wondering if anyone else has noticed any negative issues since the One UI 6 update?

Main changes I have noticed as follows, I'll update as and when I come across any more

Battery

Battery drains much quicker

Fast charge has stopped working on non Samsung chargers

Browsing

Getting a lot of errors loading webpages or blank pages and some dead links in pages. My default was Chrome so I changed it to Samsung Internet but no improvement

Networking

My signal strength seems lower and the phone has more issues connecting to certain Bluetooth devices e.g sumup card reader etc ad-hoc i.e occasionally it's ok

I've noticed maintaining network connections as an issue a while ago even on the S22u but lower network strength is recent as the signal was always stronger on the S23u compared to others

I've given up on the NFC with my sumup app i.e scanning the card on the phone instead of the card reader. This was a really useful feature and worked flawlessly for a while but since a few updates is very rarely successful and returns errors reading card which gets embarrassing when stood with a client also with the S23u you need to reconnect the card reader quite frequently as the phone stops finding the reader. This never happened with the A54 5g I was running side by side with the S23u with the same software set up and reinforces suspicions around the S23u network connection consistency

Notifications

I did have a period of notifications just disappearing when you click to read them but been ok for a while

Apps

I have noticed apps sometimes close unexpectedly when changing focus to another app but not all apps e.g happens a lot when in settings but other apps seem to be ok

I've noticed a lot more apps continue running in background after they have been closed. It used to be one or two and since the update it seems to average 5 or 6

Camera

When editing photos (Cropping) there is an irritating delay between adjustments which if you don't wait between adjustments causes you to move the image and have to start over, really irritating 

There are probably other little niddles I haven't noticed yet or forgot as I'm often out and about when I notice.

I've already done the cache wipe, reset networks etc

I recently got an A54 5g to try out for a work phone which seems to out perform my S23u on the basic stuff such as maintaining network and connecting to devices etc, which suggests to me that the extra functions and components in high end phones may cause additional challenges

I personally think the update process itself causes issues. I say this because whenever I get a new phone or do a factory reset regardless as to the software version the phones usually run like a dream and the glitches only tend to start as the OS or certain apps update. I wonder if the bug testers are testing updates on fresh installs only so may be missing some updating errors/glitches

I certainly don't intend doing a factory reset and fresh app installs after every OS update, that would be a nightmare as it's a major undertaking

I'm having an issue regarding super fast charging on my z flip 4, I'm using the original brick I bought from Samsung. Worked fine before I updated to oneui 6. Now when I plug my charger in it shows super fast charging for about 3 secs and then goes to normal charging. I can assure that the problem is with the phone because my Samsung tab s8 charges like normal. Definitely a software issue since it charges super fast when shut down the phone, but when I turn it on and try plugging it in it acts up again, tried checking the port too to see if there was any issue. Nope, its all clean.

Hoping someone here might have a solution to this, because I might have to just factory reset to the previous OS

I already tried multiple methods from resetting the battery settings to restarting my phone several times, still to no avail😢 

I'm practically on the go most of the time and usually need a quick charge, now I can't do that anymore.

A52 regular screen since one ui version 6 freeze. Touch doesn't respond buttons work.  Sometimes couple of clicks on side key it recovers others need to restart. Was my sons phone and he was getting new for Xmas and my phone was ancient so gave it a factory reset in hope it fixed the issue but again as soon as one ui upgrade came in the freezes start.

Yeah I got a big problem with this update

After updating my phone, the touch screen stopped working, which left my personal phone completely useless, I tried to find for OneUi 5.1 in the official website, but only the most recent versions that damaged my phone are available, I am quite upset because to repair it with customer support I need my brothers signature who is traveling... and Samsung doesn't gives other way to solve this problem.

Oh dear that sounds like a real headache. Have you tried connecting it to a pc? Although you might need to turn off the screen lock but might be worth a try. But you could try a soft reset see if it works or do a full reset from the recovery menu as you use the buttons rather than the screen

To do a soft reset hold the power button and volume down together. Keep them pressed until your phone switches off and restarts. Only let go of the buttons when you see the Samsung logo.

To access the recovery menu. Switch phone off. Plug in a usb cable and plug other end into a pc. Press the power and volume up buttons together and keep them pressed until you see the Samsung logo then release the buttons. This should take you to the recovery menu, you scroll up and down the list of functions with the volume buttons and you select an item by pressing the power button so scroll to restore to factory settings and press the power button which should fully reset the phone but it will also wipe everything off the phone

I observe the same thing, the photo editor app no longer has the "rotate" picture function

yeah, i tryed everything, but its dosen't work, i even try changing the origin firmware of my phone, but it doesn't work, the only solution left it's making a dowgrade, but i cant find a room before the OneUi6.0.

If you know how find a room with OneUI5.1 to A53B 8bits i will be greatefull ( i already searched in the official website😞 )

I'm not sure how to do that, to be honest it sounds like a hardware issue e.g the digitiser might have failed or have a fault etc I would take it to an authorised service center and have them run some tests as it might save you a lot of time and hassle. I think it's unlikely that a software upgrade would stop hardware from working as it would happen to all of the same model if it was the software alone

I hate this update. When I'm listening to Spotify through my airpods at the gym, it crashes my phone and I can not even skip a song or answer my phone or test messages.
