I've even updated to the latest December patch and the icons still don't shift like in 5.1. come on SAMSUNG... MAJOR ISSUE... YET MINOR FIX that would take seconds but it's been months. 😡

I got a reply today saying it's fixed and I should update to the latest version, which I already had done yesterday.

Looks like we'll have to wait until the 6.1 update, next year.1702403533697.jpg

Whilst I initially thought this issue had been fixed, now I'm not sure.

The taskbar icons only move in relation to the clock digits having different spacing between the different numbers.

For example, the space required to display a zero is greater than the space required for a one.

As the clock digits change, icons next to the clock move slightly to accommodate the space required for the digit change.

This is NOT the same pixel shift that was in effect before Samsung broke the feature with one of their updates. This implementation shifted every icon a set number of pixels in random directions every couple of minutes.

If you want proof that it's still not fixed, move the clock to the right side of the taskbar (via QuickStar module in Good lock) and set up do not disturb, the DND icon permanently stays in the same place (top left) and does not move at all as it's nowhere near the clock.

If you disable the clock from the taskbar entirely, none of the icons move, ever.

Yes you are right. So it's been 2months since stable one UI 6 and it still hasn't been fixed. That's 2 months of usage with display on 4-8hours a day... It's probably already burned in by now. Samsung are just pure lazy. Could've patched with December update. They told me it had been fixed in upcoming update. That was in November.

They told me it was fixed too after my bug report. Either the devs are lying and have no intention of fixing it or they think they have actually fixed it and aren't even working on a fix any more.

Let's all waste our time again by submitting yet more bug reports.....sigh

They told me the same thing. Moving the clock to the left slightly resolves it.1703849572608.jpg

I've hidden all icons and moved the clock to the left so the dnd icon will slightly move.

2months for a simple fix is absolutely insane... Probably wanting people to upgrade to the S24 this month. It's deliberate.

Well it's backfired because this will be my last ever Samsung device and I'll make sure friends & family avoid them too (they always ask my advice for tech stuff).

The task bar thing is just one of many unacceptable issues on a supposed flagship device

Absolutely agreed. I'm planning on using my S23U for at least 3years. Been looking at the Red magic 9PRO... The only thing stopping me swapping is no IP rating, I'll wait for red magic 10/11 and hopefully by then they find a way to have IP Rating... It's because they have a cooling fan built in. Water can easily get in.
