Its not quite like that with Oled/amoled, I believe. You have pixels that light up in a different way to Lcd.

Think about what you've asked, if you have " burn", that burn would assert itself upon and over any content that you are currently watching.

Consider that you opened Samsung Notes, and chose making a new note, with a white background, anything " burned" should be "ghosted" over your current white screen ,I believe.

Long time ago, I'd do silly things like, find test settings that displayed an all green screen, or, all red, or all blue, just a full screen of whatever colour you )chose to display to test your pixel purity.

But you know, I was tempting fate, because if there were any dead pixels on my phone, they must be where I couldn't notice them and I was happy. Now if I'd found any, it would have made me unhappy with what I were blissfully happy with, thankfully, there were none.
Similarly if you are happy with your phone, embrace that.

There are, mixed amongst public consumers, on any popular public perception/opinion forming tech website, operative from competing rival tech companies that embed themselves, to give negative takes and stories concerning products that it is their job to stop succeeding. A phrase you could use is... a negative PR department.
They start a story, requote it somewhere else, then have someone else agree that they have the same problem, and it becomes a well know circulation.

Years ago I had that happen over Samsungs first watch, the Gear S, it was "Woe" for everything. Yet, I still have my watch today, no burn in, the strap only broke 2 YEARS ago, and it still has its original battery in it. No cracks, no damage.

Similarly many years ago, a particular super store brought out a tablet for next to nothing that competed with apples 8 inch "i" thing.

The Asus cheapo had more ram, a better screen and many other better upgraded faculties, at more than 200% less price. You could not get the cheapo's for love nor money, it was bang, out of stock.
Out of stick or not, amongst all the desperate people buying them FOR THEIR KIDS", it started.

The internet became full of apple justification. How the "i" was superior, how the battery would fall out of that Asus, and all the other negatives that were spewed across the web.

Guess what, I still bought one, I still have it, it still charges to 99%, and not one of the negatives took place.
It would be a pain but, I can photograph both watch and tablet to substantiate.

What I'm saying is, there ARE genuine problems with tech pieces, and every model on every production line, from EVERY manufacturer has them, it's just that if you look for them you're going to make yourself miserable.

If you, ( Anyone.) has a problem, it obviously NEEDS addressing, but trying to discern real problems from fake ones can be impossible, and wearying, espescially if you haven"t got the problem.
So its best to just enjoy our phones, come on here and look for missed features, learn and help each other, and be aware of certain mistakes that other poor people have made in saving me from doing the same.

Also hopefully if we can all be bothered to engage, when its needed, by BULK, we can try to apply customer pressure on Samsung where it may be needed,to provoke change, or indeed sometimes reversal.

I'm a very fortunate person in that currently, most, if not all, the major problems I read of on this helpful site, do not appear to affect my phone, but, I do take singular care of it in going through every setting when I get a new phone, charging between 10 and 80%, and I have not yet updated since 6.1.

I' ve also turned off quick charge and don't leave the phone to charge overnight, just don't seem natural to me.

Anyway thank you for your reply, and to all the other people on here who post such interesting problems and solutions, bless you all 🙂

Prolonged periods (months) of 15 - 20 minutes where screen icons are displayed in exactly the same position? Possibly...

Don't know which S23 variant you have but...

I wouldn't think so @Malkhasyan

The phone's are tested to their limits.

However, over prolonged usage this way could cause screen burn.

Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

my phone is Galaxy S23 base model, I wonder if it is possible to burn all the pixels of the screen at once or if the status bar and navigation bar would also be burned

Any phone could be prone to this I must suppose, but then its not natural to leave a sreen static for so long.
Your either using it, or if you have to leave it a while, you hit the power button. For a decade the world has known about the supremacy of Oled, AND it's possibilities of burn in. In reality it's very rare nowadays, but I personaly have my screen on 15 seconds off, if I'm using it to write a document, I'll set it to 10 mins max to self turn off, but if I have to leave it for a while I'll always "HIT" the button.

One thing though, and this is personal, I wouldn't watch a long program, or, play a video game, if part of the vendors format was to leave a static icon, or text box on my screen through every frame, it is my option, but, no matter what ANY manufacturer says, there's always that one chance.
Hope yours isn't burned. 🙂

thanks, no it didn't burn, I did a test comparing it to another phone that was slightly burned and my phone's screen was like new.
And one more question, if there was a burn on the entire screen, would you feel it or not?

YES, it burns in.

Thanks to the awful handling of YouTube Premium, the screen stays on no matter what, even when the video has finished. This resulted in the screen staying on for something like 3-4 hours, on the same image at the end of the video. My phone was uncomfortably hot and I see the "shadow" of the bloody Youtube screen in every app that displays a grey colour. It's terrible.

So yes, you can absolutely get screen burn-in on a Samsung S23. My device is now ruined thanks to YouTube, and the worst part is; I willingly paid for YouTube Premium. (:
