One UI 6.1 AOD - NO COLORS

Dear Samsung!

The 6.1 update ruined the AOD for everyone, there was a missing brightness setting and the colors are disappeared. I would like to ask you to restore the possibility of the customizations. If you remove features from time to time nobody will feel the urge to upgrade their Samsung phones anymore.

The previous AOD was beautiful, the font size was big enough to read even the battery percentage, the notification icons were colorful and there was more space between the clock and the notifications, it was obvious at the first glance if there were notifications or not.

Now the font size is smaller, everything is white, the notification icons are almost unreadably small and they are too close to the clock. I would like to see colors on the AOD (this is why I bought amoled) notifications just as before: red for gmail, blue for telegram, green for missed calls, etc...

Outsourcing the AOD options to a different application (good lock) was a bad idea in my opinion, but removing features is even worse.

Thank you in advance!

Agree 100% - this is more like a downgrade & will cause people to be less interested in upgrading.

I bought a Samsung because of what made it different from iPhone even after Samsung got rid of the LED for notifications. Now the AOD is boring af - may a well not even bother.

I completely agree. I bought my S23+ 4 months ago, replaced a Xiaomi and since last weekend i regret it very very much. Unfortunately i have 2yr long contract with my provider.
Samsung, do you think, only young generation use phones?! I am close to 50, following the flows, but i cannot fix my vision, my eyes at this age. Now i cannot adjust the aod brightness to see clock first (btw this font type ugly and terrible), i miss the colors so much for the clock and much more miss the app icons' colours. It was so easy to decide after have a quick look on display, is it important to open or not. Icons are very very small. Oh, wait, since the 6.1 update (ew, down grade) the charging is even slower, even though it was terrible before (check Xiaomi :winking-face: )
I am very disappointed, i pay a huge amount at all for NOT an iphone, and now i have look-like iphone. I used to like that there was a choice of settings and customization, it gave me an extra experience, a good feeling. Now I feel like I'm in the army, that's what you get for your ***** money and shut up, and everyone has to be look like the same.

PS: Good lock is not available in my country tho. Pls give us back the freedom and the colours! otherwise i will be forced to move back to xiaomi and sell my s23+ and a9+ tablet underground and never use any samsung device again.

Going to have to say I really don't think this update has done a good job with the AOD, I liked having different colours such as green WhatsApp icon, green phone call notification, blue text message etc. Now it all looks boring and I have to have a double look to see if it's WhatsApp or perhaps another less important notification. I really don't understand why options would be taken from the OS/settings and put into Good Lock. I mean Good Lock is a great app, but most of the app could just be implemented into the settings app and make it an even better experience with more choice. Definitely need to at least return the AOD options to what they were before as the one colour for all notifications seems like a bad idea and the size of the font seems smaller especially for the battery icon, that's stupidly small now. Plus, I think a bit more space between the date, clock and notifications could be a little bigger, it seems quite compact not. Definitely preferred the way the AOD was with One UI 6. Hopefully changes can be made to at least have the original options back or what we have now rather than just getting what's given as that's not how Samsung usually role with things.

I'd love to as well but I dont even know what One UI I had prior to updating 😪 im guessing it was 6.0.... but then I found the default font is the same as 6.1 but it definitely changed my clock on AOD !!!!

Can you find a pic of before? These are probably the closest I can find...

Same here. My s23 Ultra is affected. I actually preferred the AOD 2 iterations ago. With the thinner font. It looked may more elegant and sophisticated. But I got used to the more bold and rounded numbers for the time. As long as I could change the color. But now even that is gone.

What the heck are you thinking, Sammy?

Turn your color pallet off. Goes back to white I found, not the ugly orange.
