Hi all,

Is it just me or since the June/July update, the notification and ringtone volume is low? I mean my volumes are turned up to the max but they sound like the volume is half way.

Using s23 ultra by the way.

Hi @rkanwar

My phone is on the July update and find my volume for both ringtone and notifications to be the same as before

Are you using a custom sound you've downloaded ? If so can you change the sound to a pre loaded option to see how loud it is then.

Please check your speakers for debris and run the diagnostic tool found in your Samsung Members App.

If I can be of any further help then please don't hesitate. Take care.  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

Hi there!

Thanks for your reply. I am using everything stock even to the ringtones. The call ring tone sounds pretty loud but the notification ones sound lower.
Diagnostic tool has passed. I don't know maybe it's just me and my ears lol but in my head I was sure the notification volume was a lot louder 🫠

So it turns out I'm not going mad. All the volumes are maxed out.

Comparing the sound to my S20 Ultra, the volume is much lower as to before it was a lot louder.

Even sometimes my media volume dips low and then gets louder.

Could this be a bug in the firmware?

I have an S20+ and my notification sounds have gone completely for emails, texts and WhatsApp, very annoying!

I just purchased a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, it's two (2) days old.  I can increase the ringtone level setting to the highest possible setting and the ringtone produces the desired audio level.  However, the ringtone reverts back to a barely audible level with the next incoming call.  I have reset the factory settings and turned the phone off and restarted it; nothing nseems to solve the barely audio ringtone problem.  Is this a known problem?  Can I demand a new phone from the retailer?  What options do I have for a resolution to this problem?

Not actually sure why that is happening there but you may be able to request a replacement

Hi, thanks foryour comments.  It turns out the ringtone issue was due to user error.  I was unkowingly turning the volume down by hitting the volune buttons on the side of the cell phone.  The cell phone retail representative disengaged the volume buttons.  I now need to activate the phone through my security access code before the buttons will activate; that has rectified the ringtone problem.
