Can anyone tell my y my Samsung is so slow and causes such a lag when I hotspot. And y this phone is so expensive when my £100 phone dose a better job even though i have only used 3g of memory of 250g. The only good thing about this phone is the camera.

You can increase the speed by changing the connection band in your hotspot settings. You can choose between 2.4g slow 5g fast and 6g super fast. The only thing to remember is that the device you want to connect to must support the band you are using as it won't be able to find your phone if it doesn't support the band. I think all devices support 2.4g band but a lot of older devices might not support 5g band and only newer devices are likely to support 6g band. I have my phone set to 5g preferred. You also need to consider if devices are connected to your mobile hotspot they will also be using your internet connection bandwidth which can slow down all devices if it gets overloaded or if you don't have a good signal etc. It might be worth trying Bluetooth Tethering which might help locally but you could still have speed issues if all using the internet at the same time. To change the band go to settings, Connections, Mobile Hotspot & Tethering, Mobile Hotspot and the click configure where you can change the band with a slider. I hope this helps

If your phone appears to be lagging even when your nkt using hotspot i.e in general use then a good generic troubleshooting step is to clear the phone's System Partition Cache Files Section. 

>   Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files.There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too.
