My S23 Ultra keeps randomly ringing one of my contacts

I have had my phone for just under 2 weeks and randomly it dials the same contact, even when I am nowhere near it or in the same room. Am just wondering if this is common and fixable or I need to return my phone.

Hey there

That doesn't sound right.

Do you have Google Assistant on? Could it be picking up on what your saying and then making calls?

If you've only had the device less than 14 days, I would call Samsung or if you bought from a network, your network, tonight to arrange a return and replacement.

Thank you. I do have Google Assistant, but the number is under a nickname and I don't say it. Another user said to reboot my phone, which I've done so fingers crossed. If it happens again, I'll contact my provider. Thank you again for your time and advice, I appreciate it😊

Please report back if you learn what causes this issue.  I have nothing to add, I just find this interesting.

This may have absolutely no bearing, but there are two Phone dialers, Samsung's and Google's. 

Try the one you're not using, perhaps that might make a difference.  It's worth a shot.
