I have seen this issue happening for quite some time now.
In the do not disturb settings, you can add specific contacts as exception. What happens on my phone is that after a restart of the phone for example, I have to add those contacts again in the DND configuration because they are cleared. - see the attached screenshot. Whatever I add there, after a restart, sw update, randomly they are cleared and I have to add them back
I've seen this on the previous S22 Ultra and now here as well.
Is there a bug or what is causing this?

I have those exceptions marked as favourites and that works reliably. Maybe raise the issue via Members app, as agreed, it should persist across reboots

Me too. And even without rebooting the phone. And the alarm doesn't work. I had to download Google alarm. Not impressed for any phone. Let alone a flagship that costs a fortune.

I just went into permissions and most cannot be changed but Phone was not allowed to interrupt. Not sure why that would delete all the contacts though.

I think I found the bug and a work around solution. I'll know tomorrow as it seems to remove the selected contacts every night once the do not disturb schedule runs. Go to -Settings -Notifications -Do not disturb -Calls and messages -Enabling "Repeat callers" under the "Also allow" changes the previous screens "Calls and messages" from "Allowed 4 contacts" (or however many are selected) to "Some allowed". I found this by comparing my S20FE to my daughter's S21 which has kept the added contacts and is working. This must be a bug since Samsung / Google added the individual contacts to bypass "do not disturb". Hope they can fix it to allow repeated callers also. Note: enabling the sleep "Mode" lets you set the same "Do not disturb" and it keeps the contacts, but I don't know if it works (didn't try having them call me at night).

I've reset my phone, and I've tried both, @Members_q6oc6aE and @Perma suggestions, and nothing has worked. Has anyone found a solution or a different solution?

I'm glad this isn't just me but we need a fix. I can't limit incoming calls due to work but definitely need the 4 or 5 contacts I make a above in that area to stay. This has been. Happening since my s22

I've had a similar issue for awhile. Samsung, we need a fix for this! In the meantime I'm going to mark the contacts whose calls I want to allow as favorites and then turn on three setting to allow favorites and see if that works.

Issue remains 2 months after the last post. I thought I was going crazy for so long. I'm up to date, galaxy s23 here. Wtf Samsung come on fix this! Trying @Permas workaround. Hopefully it works till they fix this!
