S23ultra charging ridiculously slow

I am experiencing a charging issue with a new s23 Ultra. I upgraded from the S21 Ultra that I had so I'm using the same charging cable and charger both from Samsung. The phone recognizes that I'm in super fast charging mode however it takes many hours to charge we're looking at like 6 to 8 hours to get a full charge. Sometimes while sitting on the charger it'll go down in battery life. Eventually it does charge all the way. Is this a defect or something easy to fix? I practically took it out of the box so it's only a few days old.

Since this is a new device I should not have to go through those steps. However I've already done all those.

Try swapping the charging cable ends around. Also make sure to blow out dust or other possible debris from the chargers usb port.

Again, this is a brand new device fresh out of the box. There is no debris, the cable has been tried in both directions which doesn't really make a difference but it's been done.
