My notification sounds on my samsung s23 ultra keeps silencing on their own at least twice a week.
All I'm getting is vibration sound even though notification volume is turned up and hasn't been touched.Notification on all my apps turn off emails Whatsapp and texts.

I have to keep restarting my phone which then brings the notification sound back and it works for a few days and then it goes again. Does anyone know why this could be happening.

Hi @pen2023

Are you using a pre downloaded tone or one you've downloaded yourself ?

If the latter then please try a pre downloaded one as a troubleshooting step.

Also try Safe mode  > Safe Mode  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode/ turns off downloaded apps and themes etc which may highlight an app or theme that's causing conflict.

If you conduct a forum search you'll see similar threads which might have some troubleshooting steps you haven't yet tried.

https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/forums/searchpage/tab/message.

One such thread is > https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/galaxy-s10-series/notification-sound-not-working.

Through a Google Search there are also tech sites that have troubleshooting steps for Notification-sound-not-working i.e  > https://www.guidingtech.com/fix-notification-sound-not-working-on-android/

If I can be of any further help then please don't hesitate. Take care.  😎

I don't have ring doorbell . It's the whole phone that goes silent and I only get notifed with vibration sound. I have to restart my phone to bring the sounds back .

I am having the same issue!!! I have no idea why it happens or how to fix it. It's really annoying though. And my boyfriend asks why my notifications are set to silent 🙄🤷

I found you don't have to turn the phone off though. If you use the volume button on the side of the phone, click the 3 dots on the volume slider and it brings up all the volume options. You'll see all are active except the notification one which you can slide up and turn back on. Still weird though.

Unfortunately, no nothing has helped. Although It's not happening as frequent as before but its still happening every couple weeks now. I've spoken to Samsung and they want to arrange for my phone to be tested and looked but I'm going to wait till it gets really bad though as I hate having to re set the phone back to factory settings . It's such an inconvenience.

Mine is doing this nearly every day now. Did you manage to resolve the issue?
