Recently upgraded to S23+ and noticed that in group messages I no longer see my contacts' profile pictures to the left of their messages. I only see their name in a small thin grey font. Makes it really difficult to see who's talking. How can I get those pics back ON... or can I?

Check Group Settings: Ensure that the group message settings haven't changed. Open the group chat, tap on the three dots (menu) or the group name, and look for any settings related to display preferences or member information.

Contact Sync: Make sure your contacts are synced properly. Go to your Contacts app, check if each contact has a profile picture assigned, and verify that your contacts are synchronized with your messaging app.

App Updates: Ensure that your messaging app is up to date. Go to the Google Play Store, find your messaging app, and update it to the latest version.

Phone Settings: In your phone's settings, navigate to "Display" or "Appearance," and look for settings related to message display. There might be an option to show or hide contact pictures in messages.

Clear Cache: If the issue persists, try clearing the cache of your messaging app. Go to your phone settings, find the "Apps" or "Application Manager," locate your messaging app, and clear its cache.
