This is just crazy. I lost 25% because of background activity on mobile data?! Please someone advise how to switch off background data on a app.

Wifi and Bluetooth.. if not used turn them off as they will keep looking for a signal. Adaptive lighting turn it off and set its manually. Dark mode and extra dim will help. Finally is the vampire apps, these love battery's. Streaming apps and apps like Facebook/meta, Instagram and many more.
You can disable or put them to sleep. To conserve battery life.

@Muhib: You can also head to Settings > Connections > Data usage > Data saver, and toggle this option on. Alternatively, head to Settings > Apps > Select the relevant app > Mobile data > Allow background data usage > Off.

I tried all above and it doesn't make a difference. Only for this one particular app causing issues. I put on deep sleep mode aswell no difference

You'll have to force stop it each time you use it, annoying but only takes a second. I've had to do the same as I was getting high battery drain from this app.

What's the point in buying a phone though and disabling notifications and turning everything off.
