I can't watch a video on Facebook without it stopping

Hello. I have a Galaxy S23 Ultra that I recently bought and the problem I have is that when I upload a video to Facebook it takes several days before I can watch the video without it stopping but if I watch via a desktop it works without problem.

Hello @Gs23U and may I personally extend a Warm Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum 👋 

This might be an issue with the Facebook App. 

Try clearing the cache of the app by holding down the app icon and tap on and then tap on Storage and Clear Cache to see if that helps. 

A more broadsworded approach is > Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files.There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too { Possibly excluding the s²⁴ Series of phone's } 

If the above does not help then delete the app from your phone and also from your MyLibrary in your Playstore to then download a fresh copy of the app.

It might be beneficial to send feedback to Facebook to let them know what's happening. 

Feedback can be sent to Samsung directly via your Samsung Members App.

Sorry to hear of your issues. As @BandOfBrothers has said above, if you've tried clearing the cache on the app and it still isn't working, it will be a Facebook app issue.

First I would uninstall the app. (Do not click on install again at this point)

Then go to the Google Play Store and search for the app.

Install it again so you get the correct version for your device.

Try again to watch the video. I have an S23 Ultra and it's seamless.
S24 Ultra
