How do I get my notes back

When I purchased the new Samsung s23. Accessed my notes and everything got deleted. How do I get it back? I thought everything gets transferred across? Please help I had important info.

Which method did you use to transfer your information across.

i.e 

Samsung Smartswitch.

Samsung Cloud.

I use Samsung Cloud when switching phone's and my Samsung Notes move across just fine.

How-do-i-switch-my-android-device.

Might be worth checking if your Notes backed up in your Samsung Cloud @Rumi512
