I recently updated my S23 Ultra and everything went fine. Today, I was browsing through my phone and a green line suddenly pops up on the screen out of nowhere. I have tried everything but nothing seems to work. The green line is still there. How can a green line just appear on the screen without any reason.

Never heard of? Get a grip.

The first thing to do is always make sure it's not a software glitch, so a waste of time is an interesting take. It's called an attempted solution for a reason-as a community, what else can I say?

When a single green line appears which is brighter than all the other areas of the screen it is not a software glitch. And when brightness control doesnt affect the green line. So it takes common sense and experience to understand it is not software glitch. There is no solution inside the device software except to replace the display. Also clearing cache has never solved any problem.

Completely wrong about clearing the cache never solving a problem. Personal issues and community issues; plenty of examples.

Again, posted on a forum with customers—all we can do is suggest. Common sense does not equal good luck; might as well give nothing. It's worth doing basic troubleshooting- youre missing the point of what members is for

All we can do is suggest the right solution. Giving a solution that wastes time is not a solution. To give a solution first you have to understand the problem. If you didn't understand the problem, you can ask him to give a photo of the device to analyze. If screen shot doesnt show the issue, it is not a software issue. I think you never understood or tried to understand the problem here. He has clearly specified it that his 4 friends have the same problem. And green line came after updating.  The fastest solution to this is to go to the service center and ask for the free Screen replacement.

I have had the same issue on other manufactured devices and had done free screen replacement because they know it is a manufacturing issue. And the minute i got the line i directly called and booked an appointment because "common sense" and didn't waste my time and tried other wasteful methods like clearing cache for a manufacturing issue. Samsung never admits it is their issue. So technically you are entitled to get a free screen replacement if there is no physical damages on the screen or any dent on the body. So the best solution is to take to the service center and ask for the replacement.
