I recently updated my S23 Ultra and everything went fine. Today, I was browsing through my phone and a green line suddenly pops up on the screen out of nowhere. I have tried everything but nothing seems to work. The green line is still there. How can a green line just appear on the screen without any reason.

Hi! Welcome to the samsung members community!

Firstly-
If you go into the phone dialer app Dial *#0*#
Youll then get get 3 colour test cards at the top. If the line disappears in these tests Then you will have an app or theme that's causing the screen issue

If this doesnt work
settings- security and privacy - autoblocker disable it, try the code and see if it works

This is very strange. Due to being right after an update i would suggest
Connect phone to PC/laptop 1. Turn off the device. 2. Press and hold the Volume Up key and Power key. 3. When the Android logo displays, release both keys. 4. An "Installing system update" message may show briefly before the Android Recovery menu options appear. 5. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight "clear cache partition". 6. Press the Power key to select. 7. Press the Volume down key to highlight "Yes," then press the Power key to select. 8. When the process is complete, "Reboot system now" is highlighted. 9. Press the Power key to restart the device

Thank you for your swift reply. Please note that the green line did not just appeared immediately after the update. The last update i did was Feb 7th of this month. Before this I did not have any issue with the  phone for once. It is mindblowing how the green line just appeared and wont go away after several restart. I will follow your instructions and get revert.

Hello 👋 @Arilemi

Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum.

This in my opinion is a failure on the ribbon that connects the display to the motherboard,  which means a Samsung Service Centre needs to replace the display and ribbon.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

How can I file a complain such that samung customer service can fixed this issue for me.  Like four of friends had similar issue and no one seems to know how to get the issue fix. I personally won't  buy samsung again. This phone is expensive in my country.

The only solution to your problem is to replace the display and samsung has to do it for free as it is a manufacturing issue.  This happens within 1 week after a new update is done on your phone. Some people get it right after. Some people get it when they leave their phone and come back there it is the line. Doing what is explained by this guy is a waste of time as it is not a software glitch.

What you need to do is to take the device to service center and demand for a free screen replacement. If they deny it, post in twitter by tagging consumer forum and samsung india in it. 95% chance they will deny it. My colleague had green line and the service center denied free replacement. He posted in twitter and they replaced it for free

Hi! So, the first thing to do is always make sure it's not a software glitch, so a waste of time is an interesting take. It's called an attempted solution for a reason—as a community, what else can I say?
