So got the S23 Ultra a day ago finally got everything setup and working. But can't pay with Google wallet keeps saying phone moved too fast. Don't know what to do this is going to be reason I send back the phone if I cant pay.

Using pixel before without any issues.

I have the S23 Ultra and occasionally get the same.

It is as simple as it says. You're moving your device too fast.

Ensure NFC is on, then when looking to make a payment using Google Wallet, go a bit slower. It does work 👌

Do you have a heavy duty case on? This could be delaying the NFC signal to the payment machine, meaning you have to keep the phone next to the reader a little longer.

Confirmed solution 16/10/23

Make sure your Galaxy Store apps are updated.

Not a case issues as using a Dbrand case

It was Samsung Wallet causing the problem. I opened it up and it required a Galaxy Store update from that store and not play.

Didn't setup any cards just initiated the app and it took and update and appears Google Wallet is working.

I have the same issue with s23. And no, I actually move it slowly. Very frustrating. 😞

I have the same issue even if I leave the phone on the terminal and take my hand off. It's literally 50:50 if it's going to work. I never had this issue with my previous phones. Most frustrating.

Yup, I also have this issue. Whether I have my case on or not.

It's extremely frustrating. Generally works the second time or third time.

I carry my actual wallet with me as back up now which is so counter intuitive.

I've just recently started using Google pay on an old S10+, same issue. I actually get the message *before* I've touched the phone to the reader, while it's still moving. I don't understand why this can be a problem.

I have a Flip Z - 5G and had the problem whilst travelling in Brazil.  I fixed it by :

  • Deselecting the "Don't keep activities" (in the Apps developer settings)

This fixed it for me along with weird misbehavour with other Apps.
