Hello friends, I have a question: if the phone's battery is swollen, is it possible for it to hold a good charge and not get hot?My friend suspects that his Galaxy S23 Plus battery is swollen, but it holds a charge well, and the Member Diagnostics shows no problems.

From the outside, there is no swelling, but when you rub it with your hand, the battery part is not as smooth as the upper part.

I don't work for Samsung and I don't advocate for Samsung, I'm a Samsung fan and this is my opinion, Galaxy S23 and Galaxy Tab A9 User

If your phone battery is swollen or suspect it was, i would stop using it, its seriously dangerous to continue use.

Have your friend take it in for inspection at a Samsung Experience store

You've asked the question and two Samsung Members Stars have given you the same answer.......

Are you simply looking for a different answer?

Yes, tell your friend it is fine to keep using it. And if anything goes wrong........

The advice is to get the device checked and likely battery replaced.

It's my friend's smartphone, he just thinks it might be swollen when the back isn't so smooth to the touch.

As has been said above by @~Robot

If you're friend's device does have a swollen battery, it needs to be checked over by a Samsung Repair Centre and it should be turned off immediately.

He says he's noticed it for over a month, but if it was going to swell, the back part would have come off by then or the screen would have been damaged. ??
