I don't use screen lock on my phones. Never. Why? Because the phone is safe, no one other than me has access to it (I am sure of it) and I would go crazy unlocking the screen every time I pick it up (there is a Samsung case around it). I would rather give up smartphones all together than use lock screens. They need to take as little of my time as possible.
However, I need my fingerprint registered for an important app. I would like to register it without screen lock. Years ago I thought that this missing feature is just a temporary mistake from Samsung or Google and will be available soon enough. However, multiple years have passed and I still don't see it, which makes my life worse of a result and I am getting irritated.
No fingerprint is inconvenient (therefore no important app), but screen lock is inconvenient too. However, enabling screen lock would be a bit more inconvenient from those two for me, so I am going to choose no screen lock if I have to choose.
Anyone knows more about this?

That's fair enough as a personal choice @Members_IxNuUB8 and @keith30
However personally as my phone holds sensitive apps and information I do personally want all the Biometrics available, the same as @Glenntech
Actually when I lift my phone to use it the face unlock is so good it's unlocked before I can actually though the screen to use fingerprint Biometrics.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "
