Hello @Jackpkr
I've used a Samsung Tpu Screen protector on my Samsung Galaxy s²³ Ultra from day one.
It's not so much the actual display being marked up.
It's the micro abrasions that can happen in the displays Oleophobic coating.
However Glass is Glass !
Once seen I couldn't unsee 👀 it.
I've also used the Whitestone Dome Glass Screen Protector on the phone too.
Both were fine with usage of the sPen and fingerprint scanner.
A UAG Monarch Pro Kevlar Magsafe Case is on the s²³ Ultra and a Spigen Rugged Armor Case is on the s²⁴ Ultra. Only yesterday I managed to fumble my s²⁴ Ultra out of my pocket and it had a low level drop to the floor. The case and screen protector in my mind saved the actual phone from any damage.
I now use the Spigen EZ Easy Fit Tempered Glass Screen Protector on my Samsung Galaxy s²⁴ Ultra.
Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.
The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

For the record I loved my s23 ultra best phone I ever had however the screen scratched like mad I had about 9 major scratches on it. They all couldn’t be felt with a finer nail so it must have just been the coating but they were long and lots of them. I now have an iPhone 15 (long story) and it doesn’t have a single one on the display. Yes I have only had it 5 weeks but my ultra got 3 within a week
