@Quo: If you're having some difficulty unlocking with Face Recognition, I recommend attempting the registration again. With this in mind, please head to Settings > Security and privacy > Biometrics > Face recognition > Enter your details > Remove face data. When you re-register your face data, please take into account that glasses, hats, masks, makeup, bangs, and beards can affect the recognition process. Adding an alternative look can help the device recognise you in different situations. Make sure that you're in a well lit area when capturing the image, the camera lens is clean, and the image isn't blurry.

I haven't experienced any problems with face recognition or fingerprint recognition on my S23 Ultra. I suggest you to ensure you're in a well-lit area when setting up your face recognition and when using it. Adequate lighting helps the camera detect facial features accurately and wipe the front camera lens to remove any smudges or dirt that might affect its performance.

Yes. Got my S23 ultra, 12/512 and it seems a bit ******** in terms of both face recognition as well as fingerprints!
As a comparison, I NEVER had a single problem with apple devices (iPad pro) and the same problem shows in my galaxy S8 ultra!
Tried all the useless stuff said in the forums, but no good. Seems like a genetic problem with Samsung.

I recently purchased the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, expecting cutting-edge technology performance, however, the face recognition system is, to put it mildly, disappointing. Despite trying all the recommended solutions by Samsung, the facial recognition just doesn't work effectively, even in conditions where it should at least perform decently, like on sunny days.
This issue is so pronounced that many of my friends, myself included, choose to completely disable the facial recognition feature and resort to alternative methods like fingerprint scanning or passcodes. For a device that's marketed as a technological leader, this is a substantial drawback. My previous experience with a 2019 Huawei P30 Pro, which flawlessly recognizes faces even in dark rooms using just the screen light, makes this shortcoming even more glaring. I expected more from Samsung, especially given the quality and efficiency of its predecessors and competitors.

That is why we are here.
It is because we have tried the basic fixes and failed ourselves.
I don't know why this is written as "solved" with a green check mark.
The face recognition features simply do not work.
If you do it in daylight it WILL ONLY WORK in daylight.
Same with night.
I have even even tried the alternative appearance one in day and on in night and it fails at both... when i do that...
All it takes is a software patch to fix this i am puzzled that the problem is even persisting in the S24 ultra...
