Since latest update email app stays open in back ground and drains battery.
No way to force close this.
Anyone know if Samsung is going to fix this or anyone have a fix ?

My phone would usually last till the next morning with at least 30% now nearly make it through the 24 hours

I think it's more about the UI than anything. One UI 6.1 seems to be a nightmare for battery life including, I dare to say, the S24 series phones

You can stop Samsung Mail from running in the background and swipe away any sync notifications. The app will only start exhibiting this behaviour again when and if you restart the phone, at which point you would repeat what I've already advised.

There is no fix from Samsung as yet. Personally, I've disabled sync for now, until a fix has been issued.

Further to your comments have looked into email sync issues sndcdven when altering for sync every 12 hours. Sync taking place continuously every minute. Have now disabled totally also as battery draining rapidly on 5 day old phone. Been having to charge 3 times daily
