Do not disturb: Missed call notifications

I'm not sure if this intended behaviour, but there seems to be an exception for missed call notifications when Do not disturb is on: Even when ticking 'Hide all' in the DND-'Hide notifications' menu, I can see missed call notifications.

If this is on purpose, I do not quite agree with this: Imo, DND should mean no alerts of any kinds that I do not want. Especially, if I have DND set to 'None allowed' for calls and messages, I do not want any alerts about (missed) calls.

I would be great if this is fixed or (if intended) there would be an option in the DND-'Hide notifications' menu to disable missed call notifications.

It maybe because there is a setting that's on that's say if caller calls one after another it allows it through Intended so just its an urgent call that you don't miss it.

I see where are coming from. Most people actually want the notification, they just don't want the alert (Notifactions and alerts aren't really the same thing). It makes sense this way because you actually want to know when you've been contacted but didn't want to be 'disturbed' at the time.

You may as well put your phone in airplane mode if you don't want to be contacted at all.

Probably you can send your suggestion/feedback to Samsung and hopefully it can be implemented in some way. As long as it's optional I see no reason others would oppose.

Well, people contact me through different apps/ways (Text, Call, WhatsApp, Messenger). Imo, if you want these notifications during DND, but no alerts, this is what the option 'Don't show pop-up notifications' should be for. It does not seem consistent so me that 'Hide all' hides all notifications (alerting or not) EXCEPT missed call. This might be subjective though.

Airplane mode is not an option since it disables mobile data.

I think I've misunderstood or misinterpreted what you meant by saying the notification still shows. I thought you were saying the notifications still show in the notification area as a silent notification.
It seems you meant that you get an alerting pop up notification anyway? I would tend to agree with you if that's the case.

I think you understood correctly, missed call shows as a silent notification. However, this does not make sense to me as I selected Hide all notifications. But this hides all notifications except missed calls.

You suggested that people might want no alerts, but still see if someone tried to contact them. Imo, in this case though, unchecking the preferred ticks in the 'Hide notifications' menu should be the way to go. (For example, check only 'Don't show pop-up notifications': I want no alerts, but I still see if someone tried contact me via call, text, WhatsApp etc).  But we might disagree on that.

Either way, I think there should be an option to hide all notifications completely (including missed calls).

No, you are right in saying that an option, at least, would be good. I'm only guessing it's the way it is due to people normally wanting it this way. It's simpler for the less savy who would not need to go through menus to ensure they don't miss an emergency notification while in dnd. You don't get the alert but you still have the notification just in case.

I think the best solution is to add an option to completely nuke everything for those willing to go through the options of doing it.
