S23 ultra random vibrations

Hi All,

The last few days my s23 ultra started vibrating randomly. All apps and software updates are current, fully optimised, no outstanding errors or notifications that I can find. It'll even vibrate when the vibrate function is off and in do not disturb mode.

One thing to note, I think it only happens when I'm holding it, doesn't seem to happen when I'm not holding it and it's on a table of bench.

Any ideas?

Turning off NFC seems to have rectified it.

The phone can vibrate when first picking up but shouldn't keep vibrating when busy holding it.

I have S24U and I noticed sometimes settings get changed on their own, but I believe that is actually because of the hyper responsiveness of the display and because I am in a rush sometimes and I click things unknowingly. It's worth it to have a look at your phone settings again. It's worth going to Vibration and Sound settings or Accessibility and revise the settings in those areas. Keep us updated if it's this.

I think Samsung should address this issue! I have the same problem and the solution is worked for me, but I want to keep my NFC on to tap my cell phone wallet and it is so inconvenience to turn off and on the NFC for each transactions!

Hi, i have also noticed this. It is quite annoying tbf. I have seen the comments below about turning off the NFC but like you all i need it for wallet transactions. I will monitor this page to see what else comes up.

Not that Keith, mine is set for if i have missed a call or text message. It basically vibrates when you unlock the screen and go to your first app, in my case Whatsapp.

Отключение NFC помогло, но это не удобно. Опытным путем выяснил что причина - новый чехол-книжка, которая закрывается, и пластиковая платёжная карта с NFC, вставленная в него. Когда обложка открытой карты оказывается у водителя телефона, он пытается с ней взаимодействовать из-за этого срабатывает вибро. Убираю карту и проблема сразу пропадает, даже если не отключить NFC. Проверьте нет ли рядом с телефоном платёжных карт с бесконтактной оплатой.

My wife's phone vibrates at 8.30am every morning ...she has no timers or alarms so any suggestions please...probably something simple but we don't know much about these things

If you have a phone case with cards with nfc chips in them face the cards with chip downwards. That fxed it for me anyway.
