Default apps

I can't seem to work out how to set google photos as my default app when an app wants access to my photos. I've found in settings/apps where the defaults are listed but there isn't an option for which photo gallery app to use. Any ideas?

When you open a photo from My Files app, it will showyou options. You can select Always there. Any photo that you want to open from outside of the Gallery app, will open using Google Photos app.

Camera app is tightly coupled with the Gallery app.

Thanks, did that and it did allow me to select google photos and I said always. That hasn't translated to the other apps I want to select photos from using Google photos though.
