Claiming free earbuds promotion...False advertising ?

Hi everyone, I purchased the S23 Ultra 516gb at £1399 from Samsung Website before their promotion ended on the 4th of July.The promotion included free earbuds worth £219, £200 cashback.

The form at the time said that earbuds would be automatically added,I was not told at the time that the earbuds were out of stock, so bought in good faith.Now being told ,10 days later, (when I communicated with a person online(via chat) that the earbuds are out of stock and therefore I won't receive them.This should have been made clear at the point of purchase in my opinion.£1399 is a lot to spend and I would not have bought as the earbudswhere the deal clincher.The online operator offered £15 discount against a future purchase. 

After asking four times how I return the phone for a refund , the operator said she would create a returns label ,which I would then take with my phone to the nearest Dpd office to return.This is a 50 mile round trip !! Has anyone else had this issue! Surely a multi national electronics company can keep track of stock and tell you that something is not available !

You should be told at the point of purchase that items are not available, allowing you to make an informed choice on a purchase.....this seems a bit like false advertising, and that you only get the truth after you have bought an item.
The operator also cut me off before sending the returns label !

I have contacted the online shop telephone number, who are now looking into thus, we will see how this goes.

Has anyone else had this issue ?

Shud receive them 14-30 days after purchase or contract. I've the watch with the samsung s23 ultra and never come with phone I phoned up and was told they get sent out after 14 day registration period something like that

Thanks redman 5191.That's what I thought, but online chat suggest I won't get them at all.

It's feasible that the buds can go out of stock but I would think when Samsung received more then they would satisfy the outstanding orders.

Most promotions has a while stocks last.

In regards to Returns and Refunds the phone should have a returns label sent with it but can also be printed off too.

I emailed the Online Sales Team when I needed to send a phone back and they sent DPD to me.

I took time and date pictures of the phone with a couple of it turned on and packaged it well.

This is still the same process as far as I'm aware.

I emailed e : support@samsunguk.zendesk.com to arrange the collection.

I assume the issue of the buds being out of stock wouldn't have been evident but becaine the case as they started to ship pit the phone's and buds.

Sorry to hear.   I just did a similar order a few weeks ago... and received the buds last week within a separate shipment.  

Did your sales invoice show the Galaxy buds 2 pro listed at the bottom with a cost £0.00 and stating 'to follow' in a separate order ?

 

In terms of the phone return I assume the phone hasn't yet been opened or used ? ... i believe Samsung have a 14 day returns on unused products if you change your mind... but as soon as it is powered and used then that changes the return policy and it would then have to be faulty.   It must be in the same sales condition as it was shipped. 

Good luck with getting resolved.   Sometimes the operator on the helpline does not know the right answer... so I wouldn't be 100% sure that you have the right information. 

Additionally if you go onto Samsung.com website and attempt to buy some buds2 pro in graphite right now... it says in stock and shipping around 28th July.   If they were truly out of stock then surely you wouldn't be able to buy any.

My friend, keep following up... you will get it.. the agents on chat are cheap labor indians who don't care at all and aren't willing to help so they might end the chat in between..
