What are you attempting to achieve via this particular connection may I ask ?
Are you flr example trying to use your phone as a HotSpot to be able to use your iPad on the Internet?
How-to-use-and-configure-a-mobile-hotspot-on-your-galaxy-phone. And Samsung phone > Hotspot.
When you open up the Wi-Fi settings on your iPad it may ask for a password.
If you look in your phone's settings there will be a unique password created by your phone. Toggle On Mobile Hotspot in your pull down options. The password is there.
