Hi,

On the latest ONE UI 6.1, secure folder cannot be uninstalled. A message appears saying if this keeps happening, contact customer service. There are other people who are facing the same issue on twitter

Thanks for your method, but it doesn't seem to work on my device. I can't find "secure folder" in "manage apps" int playstore. There is only one app called "separated apps", which looks very similar to the "secure folder,” but it cannot be uninstalled. I have no other way, please help me, thank you.

It's there in mine pal. Sometimes it simply don't show up but go in n out a couple of times n bingo. When you find it, delete/uninstall it. Then head to security and privacy/more security settings/secure folder to uninstall it pal 👍 1713189581177_1713189581168_0.jpg

Greetings,

I have discovered an interim solution to address the recent issue with Secure Folder uninstallation.

Background: Due to a recent update, the standard method of uninstalling Secure Folder through the Settings app may be unavailable. To resolve this, we will employ an alternative approach involving the ES File Explorer application.

Procedure:

Step 1: Installation of ES File Explorer
- Search for the ES File Explorer APK and install it on your device.

Step 2: Accessing Secure Folder via ES File Explorer
- Launch the ES File Explorer application and grant the necessary storage permissions.
- Navigate to the "Apps" section on the main screen.
- Search for the "Secure Folder" application.

Step 3: Uninstalling Secure Folder Updates
- Select the "Secure Folder" app and click on the "Uninstall" option.
- This action will uninstall only the updates applied to the app, effectively resetting it to its factory state without completely removing it from the Android system.

Step 4: Standard Uninstallation through Settings
- Open the Settings app on your phone.
- Search for "Secure Folder" and select it.
- Now your usual process to click on the "Uninstall"

By following these steps, you should be able to successfully uninstall Secure Folder.

Please let me know if this solution proves effective for you. A "like" would be greatly appreciated if it assists you in resolving the issue.

You don't need to install anything. Just follow those dead, easy steps. I've tried it 10 times with no problem. There's simply no need for all that unnecessary instruction.

No. You might not straight away but it's there. Those instructions I've put work fine EVERY time but that's for me. I can't say it'll work for everyone but I've had no problem at all with the way I've described.
