Hi,

On the latest ONE UI 6.1, secure folder cannot be uninstalled. A message appears saying if this keeps happening, contact customer service. There are other people who are facing the same issue on twitter

@Forash: Secure Folder is an embedded feature of the software, and cannot be uninstalled as a result. If you head to Settings > Apps > Secure Folder, then you can disable the app from here to prevent any background activity.

Some apps are built in and can't be uninstalled like Gmail, secure folder etc. You can disable them so they don't show and don't run in the background.

You used to be able to uninstall it. It's not a full uninstall but it'd wipe out everything within secure folder

This used to be a thing. Would essentially wipe it out

Also why would there be an uninstall feature within the secure folder settings? The feature still works on my tab s8

I've the same problem. No idea if it's down to 6.1 or not but I could uninstall secure folder beforehand. I get the very same message. I can't even disable it in settings/apps blah blah. It's not a massive deal but definitely annoying 🙄

I may have solved it for me. I went to "manage apps" int playstore then uninstalled it from there. Then I went into secure folder and uninstalled from there, no problems. Now I can install uninstall and disable it. What bugs me, is the fact the option was removed. It's my phone. Let ME decide what works or not or just don't put the ***** things on the phone in the first place 🤔 🙄
