Hi everyone can somebody please advise me what to do I have a s23 and it flatly refuses to install updates at first I thought it was my vpn so I turned it off then I thought there wasn't enough space so I deleted a load of apps. All it does is gets to 100% then thinks about it and up pops a message saying there was a problem downloading the update. It's driving me mad now

Hi and warm welcome to the EU and UK community forum.

Im so sorry to hear that you had issues with the updates on your phone.

Have you tried to connect it to your computer you can use Smart Switch to update your device's software:

Connect your device to your computer using the USB cable that came with your device. You might need a USB adapter for some PCs.

Open Smart Switch on your computer.

If an update is available, Smart Switch will prompt you to update or display an option to update.

Click Update on your computer and follow the on-screen prompts to download and install the update.

If you still having trouble can try updating your One UI Home Launcher by following these steps:

Open the Play StoreTap your profile icon>Tap Manage apps & deviceTap >Updates available>Tap Update next to the app you want to update

Hi @msdad

I would certainly try the suggestion presented by @skott in regards to Samsung SmartSwitch.

More here > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-update-latest-software-for-your-galaxy-mobi...

Also try updating while the phone is in Safe Mode.

How to use Safe Mode > . Safe Mode  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode/ turns off downloaded apps and themes etc which may highlight an app or theme that's causing conflict. Alternatively long press the power off button and then long hold on Turn Off to get to Safe Mode.

https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-troubleshoot-software-update-issues.

FurtFurthermore a Samsung Service Centre  / Samsung Experience Store maybe able to assist.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎
