The camera setting claiming to be intelligent is only good at wrecking photos. I genuinely despise it.

Even worse than an awful garbage feature is no Off toggle. Only Maximum, Medium, and Minimum.
How about not on at all?

I bought this flagship ultra model because of its amazing camera. Then Samsung forces your photos through their post-processing so-called intelligent optimiser, which wrecks the picture quality, even at the minimum setting.

I'm now no longer able to produce the high quality images I need for my business using this phone.

I've been solely buying Samsung phones for the last decade because of the cameras, but unless the option is added to turn it off completely, I will be forced to ditch Samsung phones going forwards.

Hey there

Have you tried using Expert Raw and setting Intelligent Optimisation to the minimum settings?

I find the S24 Ultra is better at taking pictures without using the zoom on the device. Instead use your laptop or pc to zoom in, better pictures.

Yes and yes. Before they installed it on my phone, the fine image detail was there. Now there is no fine detail.
Below the minimum option should be Off.

Hi there 👋,
I have to agree with @Piper123 Expert raw and Pro raw is the way to go at least from my own experience.
If you want to use 200 mp or 50 mp cameras you can get (if you don't already) camera assistant, then turn on quick tap shutter option in high resolution settings you can try play with adaptive pixel settings if you want to turn it on or off and see whitch one works better, also you can try turn on auto HDR on or off, I keep it on always as well as in galery settings super HDR some people say it's better when both HDR off in settings, also make sure scene optimisation is off.
Might not get the best results but personally I use Pro or Expert raw mode if I need zoom i use 50mp and 12mp cameras.

Yeah I go along with this
With Expert RAW you can edit to get a better result without losing too much detail.

Hi @K3n0b1

I totally understand and appreciate your viewpoint.

I would certainly suggest to send this as feedback via your Samsung Members App too as they may add a future update to add the ' Off Button ' which you ,me and I'm sure others would like.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

My main photography is live bands in pubs. Between 5 to 20 feet away, zooming for close ups. I also take videos the same (5ft/20ft and close up to show the skill of the musicians). Obviously stage lighting needs to be taken into consideration. I had a Samsung A52s , and it took brilliant photos/&videos. I've just purchased a S24 Ultra and I'm not impressed with it at all. It's probably because of all the additional options and settings not knowing what to choose my type of photography. I've just come across this Intelligent optimisation and I'm not sure what to set it at. (Maximum, medium or minimum. Any other tips using the S24 Ultra would appreciated (for my type of photography). I do set my videos to 30 fps. I've gone back to using my A52s at the moment. A shame when I purchased this phone purely for the camera. I've seen a lot of bad write-ups about it.
