I have mine set at the default settings 3:4 and I believe the default is 12mp photos which use up between 2mb and 4mb per photo of your storage so you could probably get on average between 300 and 400 photos per Gig of storage at 12mp. I believe a 200mp photo is between 30mb and 40mb per photo so you would probably get around 30 photos per Gig of storage instead of over 300 so at 200mp you would quickly use up a lot of storage at such high resolution. In older digital cameras 5mp was considered high quality e.g for 10x5 family photos etc so for every day use the default 12mp is more than enough in my opinion. I have a DSLR camera which I think is 24.2mp and it takes photos in minute detail but the lenses and sensors are much bigger than those in a phone so it's different technology. Phones use software to do a lot of processing so you tend to get better colours from a phone Vs a camera as you edit photos from a camera afterwards using software so you have a bit more control. There is a lot more to good quality pictures than megapixels alone but keeping it simple. If I wanted a high quality portrait of the family to blow up for a wall portrait I would use my DSLR and a tripod but if I'm going to a party or for every day use, I would use my phone. I am happy to use the default settings but it's good to experiment with the various functions and settings as the S23 Ultra has a very capable camera which can do many things, probably the best available camera on a phone. I hope this makes sense and is helpful. I'm no expert but I do like to take good photos and I have plenty taken with the phone
