Got the 6.1 update yesterday, device — S23 base.
Some terrible things are happening with battery life, before update the phone had easily lasting for a whole day and at the end of the day it had about 30% left, considering that the battery protection was enabled (charged only to 85%).
Now I have only 20% left by 5 pm — how is that?? At 6 pm I had to put it on charging for the second time.
I'm going on vacation at the end of the week and I'll need my phone all the time for google maps, photos, and things like that. And apparently I will have to use my powerbank constantly, which I rarely had to use before.
I really regret that trusted samsung and installed this update without reading the reviews((
And my only hope that samsung will fix this trouble as soon as possible...

I'm glad I found this thread. I Google battery drain issues s23 ultra after update and have seen a few of these now. My s23 ultra is also draining really fast now after this new 6.1 AI update. My battery went down 40% yesterday just listening to lecture notes, not actively using the new transcribe feature. Before using it for the same amount of time, it would've maybe used 10% at most. Also today at work, doing the same routine as always, I'm down to 65% where it would be around 80 normally. There's definitely something going on, and if it's this ai stuff causing it, I'll be upset. I want the old battery behavior back

I have registered only to report the same issue. The battery life is now a joke compared to previous os version. Please solve this problem for s23 ultra.

I can't understand how such a big company can "miss" such a thing in it's quality tests / phone proofing ?
I guess it is as she "banana gate" and the blury pictures on the S23's launch (fixed on my phone after 2 or 3 updates)... and now that. I was used to Samsung since a Galaxy Spica, S7, S9, S20 ... and S23. I will probably consider something else for the next one.
