I personally recommend avoiding the S23 ultra and going for a different device. The screen scratches way too easily for a premium device that its a joke.

Been someones who's enjoyed samsung products until now. Contemplating a move to an IPhone with Samsung's drop in build quality

I see people with shattered iPhone screens more then I have seen on Samsung or any other android phone.

I am going by my math. 😊

My S23 Ultra is amazing and runs like a charm. I have a screen protector on mine and is like when I got it.

Doesn't matter how good a screen and glass you use it will always get scratched in you put in your pocket or bag with keys or sharp objects

Go get an iPhone, good luck with that

Different story on my end. I could understand if it has got scratched after a few months to a year. But a couple weeks shouldn't lead to scratches. Its poor manufacturing on samsung's end

I put it in my pocket on its own. Keys and other items go elsewhere.

Genuinely debating getting one if the s24 is as bad as the s23 with durability.
For reference. My old note 20 ultra didn't shatter or scratch. Not til at least a year+

There is no way to scratch it unless it made contact with another object. There usually a reasonably shart object like keys etc..... How would it scratch if it didn't?

That rather depends on how the scratches were caused........

If the device is in a suitable cover, it doesn't tend to scratch regardless of how long I've owned it.

I would suggest you haven't looked after the device and then expect Samsung to resolve that.

This is why I'm questioning the build quality. It goes in my right side pocket. By itself. Anything else goes in a bag or left side

Totally agree @-Robot

I have an S23U as you know and I find it a brilliant device.

I have it in a case and I won't lie, it has fallen several times but you wouldn't know it, device structure is fabulous.

As you say, to scratch the screen means the screen is coming into contact with something. That is down to the OP, not Samsung.

I also agree that iPhone screens can be weak and scratch / smash easily.

No the scratching is down to being a manufacturer defect. Simple as that

The only thing it could be coming into contact with is fabric inside a jacket or jean pocket with nothing else.

Or air
