I personally recommend avoiding the S23 ultra and going for a different device. The screen scratches way too easily for a premium device that its a joke.

Been someones who's enjoyed samsung products until now. Contemplating a move to an IPhone with Samsung's drop in build quality

Honestly if it's the same as mine it's all micro scratches and mine can only be seen under harsh like with the screen off. I think what happened to mine i had sand particles in my pocked or something as since then I have had no further damage. I agree they scratch easy but unless you get a cheap plastic phone it's going to happen I'm affaird. I was devasted when I saw mine but 4 months later I couldn't care less. Its a phone. It moves it lives with you it's going to get slightly damaged. If I got deem scratches or big chips in the paint then I would be a different story. What's weird is my phone fell of the bath and crashed onto a stone floor and no damage at all.

That's would make sense as sand is abrasive and will damage your screen if rubbed against the screen

It's will damage any phone out there, hence get a screen protector if you want it to stay shiney new

Yea the damage to my phone is so minimal. Its a couple of micro scratches to the screen only seen under harsh light with screen off and can't be felt with finger nail. It also has a couple of minor chips on the front of the frame at the bottom but it's weird it's not gone all the way through the paint only seen in certain light again. So it's really minimal it was just one unlucky incident. I don't like cases and screen protectors so it's just a caveat that I have to deal with some phones will go 2 years without damage others can have a mark in 2 weeks

My s23 ultra screen is scratched that is definitely no reason to switch to iPhone just for that, that's absolutely ridiculous. All screens scratch easily depending on what's going on, as long as it don't shatter too easy that's all that matters, and the s23 ultra screen certainly doesn't shatter easily

Buy a screen protector. Simples. The glass is slightly softer now so it won't shatter as easily

If you put a sharp object against something it scratches immediately. There's no "oh I'm new I'll wait a while to scratch"

No scratches on my S23 ultra screen, but scratches on camera bezels, on those two smaller bezels, paint left in few places. It's funny that I'm using phone cover and on that side I get scratches but not on the actual screen where is no protector. And about the Iphone, my friend just bought I15 pro max and after 2 days there were scratches on the screen and he didn't have any clue where those came. So Iphone is definitely not a salvation.

I have a normal Ringke transparent case with a screen protector, have probably have dropped my phone around 10 times and don't have a single scratch on it.

This seems more like an Apple fan just trying to badmouth a top end Android for the wrong reasons.
