Hi there

I turned off the ridiculous Google assistant that would pop up every time I turned on my headphones, because no matter how many times I went through the set up process it wanted to do it again.

Is there a way to set the phone to automatically select the paired headphones when they are switched on, rather than manually choosing media output from the notification shade?

Hi, if the headphones have and phone are paired the phone should automatically connect when you turn on the device.
I have a few paired devices ie BT speakers, headphones and my car and no interaction is required with the phone or device.

Do you use the headphones with any other device?

That is strange. Can you confirm the headphones are listed in the paired devices page in Bluetooth settings?

Another thought is the order in which devices are connected. I leave my BT on always and turn on wherever peripheral I want to connect to.

Yes, they're there behind my watch. My car always connects automatically and that's third in the list

I don't seem to have any such option.

These two toggle on when connected.

I have the exact same problem with my JBL headphones, It keeps popping up a st***d notification to Connect, even though its already paired and needs to Auto-connect as soon as the BT icon is activated, I had a feeling the OneUI interface will turnout to be tad frustrating.

I have even setup a routine, to auto-connect, but neither does that work, I have now lost all patience ...Stock Android on my Asus, never had all these ridiculous complex problems........ Someone PLEASE help, I just need to SIMPLY have the BT Headphones, Autoconnect on its own and not me clicking authenticating buttons everytime.

Samsung, If your reading this, Try and UNDERSTAND, if you thinking your simplifying stuff by adding intricate features, THEN that's not happening, because your only Complicating matters, a tech nerd like myself has given up finding a solution, HOW DO YOU EXPECT simple or old aged people using Galaxy phones will be able to solve these intricate features you have included in the OneUI Interface .........KEEP IT SIMPLE for God's sake !!! ......or don't add features which overlap or override other actions on the phone, it just becomes a loop of problems to fix.......
