App alignment issue home screen on S23 Ultra. App icons bleed over another app page to left.

Hi all,

Please can anyone help me with this?

I've attached a couple of pics to show what I mean. Its driving me nuts! The page with all of the icons is my home screen and the icons on the left dont align correctly and when I swipe to the left (my widget screen) you can see they bleed over.
This doesnt happen all the time but is regular. About 20 times a day. There doesnt seem to be anything specific that sets it off. 

This is a brand new hand set after EE replacing this because the first one did this and they didnt know what it was. Only had that one a week too...I did a factory reset on it and it solved nothing. Had the new handset 1 day and its happend again?????

Thanks in advance for any help. I cannot find anything on this at all and not sure what to do.

Can you try a couple of things. First, in Settings, Display, check that the Screen Zoom is not too high and is set to the middle or less. Then on the home screen, can you long press in a blank area and go into Settings, make the Home Screen Grid to something like 5x6. If these basic steps don't work, then we can check to see what other tweaks you can try.

Thanks a lot for your help.
When I first got the phone I saw a few YouTube vids with some settings to change and the zoom was one of them, so I've put it back in the middle now as suggested. My home screen was already on 5x6, I changed to that though when I set the phone up after one of these vids. Is 5x6 OK, as I like that setting.

Sadly the glitch just happened again. I played about with the phone before messaging back to see if it occurred again.

Is there anything else I could try? Thanks again for your help 👍

You're welcome mate.

Keep it 5x6 if that works for you, mine is the same.

Do you have your settings as Home Screen Only? If so, can you try changing that to Home and App Screen and see if that makes a difference?

Also, do you have Developer Options enabled?

Nice one. 

I already had the 'Home screen layout' set as Home and App screens, so thats good. 
I have the developer options enabled too. 
I have the transition bits (window/transition/animator) set to 0.5 to make the phone a bit snappier in case that's relevant to mention.

The transition scales won't affect the display. But if you scroll slightly further down to Minimum Width, if you can set that to a default of 384 and see if that helps. If it's already at that, try increasing it (makes the display smaller in size) or decreasing it (makes the display more zoomed in) and see if makes any difference. If it doesn't, keep it at 384.

I've not had any luck fiddling with the dp settings unfortunately...

I've tried:
350
360
384
420
450

...and each one I still keep getting the issue.

Would you happen to know anything else that's worth trying?

If there are options under Settings / Display for other display resolutions, try those. 

Under Settings / Themes / My stuff,  choose the default Samsung theme.

My suggestions are just off the top of my head, I hope this gets sorted out for you.

cheers Dave. I gave these bits a go along with lots of others but didnt have any joy. It seemed that the issue waas happening when I had another screen to the left of my home screen. What I've done is to have a NO page to the left of my home screen now (and move the widget page to the right) and then swipe up and now to the app draw to use the apps that where on the hone screen other pages originally. Not how I wanted to use the phone really, but has stopped the issue, so thats good. Just put this on here in case anyone has a similar issue as I couldnt find anything about it. This is what I've done to stop/bypass it.
