Hi there, I have the same problem and a few others. IT IS NOTHING ELSE THEN LATEST UPDATE from Samsung that I also made. The last one, which is 6.1 Android 14. Until the update, I could charge in my car lighter from Amazon and also charger and cables from my iPhone 15 and a charger from Macbook that is 20w and cable from Macbook as well. and other certified charges and cables. THEY WERE ALL WORKING ON S23 BEFORE I MADE UPDATE. this stupid recommendation to use the original cable or charger is just stupid nonsense because it is CERTIFIED which means APPROVED AFTER ALL TESTS and it will work on any ANDROID AND SAMSUNG AND NOW ON IPHONE 15 ALSO. AND MACBOOK. ALL WITH C-PORT!!!!! Now after the update even with the ORIGINAL BLACK CHARGER FROM SAMSUNG 25W AND the ORIGINAL CABLE IT CHARGES AND STOPS NOT COMPLETING CHARGING!!!!
I WORK WITH PHONES OVER 20 YEARS, AND IT IS ALWAYS SOME PROBLEMS WITH SAMSUNG UPDATES because Samsung always rolls out updates without completely checking them and testing them. What Samsung does is rush with updates and then we users get a million stupid problems and we report them and Samsung then makes updates and corrects them, MAKING US FRUSTRATED AND MOVING TO IPHONE which I already did, actually two weeks ago. I AM SICK AND TIRED OF THIS and I am just thanking the EU for forcing Apple to make an update for IOS so that in the future we will be able to download apps on iPhone from ANY MARKET STORE and not just the Apple store. After that, I promise you no one will want ANDROID ANYMORE because you will get the best of all from both worlds, all Android apps on iPhone and all Apple fluidity and high quality on iPhone and much more. I was a faithful customer of Samsung from NOTE 2 and sold so many Samsung convincing people that is better than the iPhone. But unfortunately, is not enough anymore to give a cashback of 100 or 150 on a new device, and think that will make us more to keep buying Samsung and to continue using Samsung.NO!! That is not enough. I want more. I want a phone that will not make me frustrated, without draining my battery over and over, without overheating, without constant notifications for downloading new stupid software that is not good anyway, I WANT TO BE ABLE TO TURN THAT OFF AND CHOOSE ON MY OWN, and I could write another 30min about all the small stupid things that Samsung is not fixing and making better but doing over and over same mistake but that is just wrong politic of Samsung and in next few years, especially in Europe, mark my words they will loose big time from Apple. thank you European Union and God help you Samsung.
so SAMSUNG PLEASE MAKE UPDATE TO CORRECT YOUR MISTAKE ASAP !!!!!!! THANK YOU

I do not believe Samsung have fixed their chargers and cables in the latest update simply because to do so would have brought Samsung into the same issue Apple had with lightening chargers.
I use Samsung kit at the moment but have used various chargers and cables without issue on both S24 Ultra and S23 Ultra.
Samsung are aware of the battery issues so expect a fix in the coming weeks.
As for Apple, you appear to have this vision that their software is perfect out of the box and with every update. Politely suggest you look at their customer forum. You'll see that Apple are also regularly releasing updates with issues...... maybe time to take off those rose tinted spectacles.

Lucky for you man, but phones are like cars. They are made all the same in the same factory but not all of them have always the same issues and the same problems. I can post a video to you and everyone else so that you can see how even with the original charger, he just stops charging or on other chargers are not even anymore reacting, then I take an A54, and they ALL WORK WITH that phone same as they did with S23 before I made an update. I have not dropped a phone in the last 10 years not even once, any phone I had, and I am a very very in details person. So my phone is still like new, old 1 and a half, under warranty still, but to send the phone for repair and time is just another story, and waiting time over 4 to 6 weeks or more. I hope they will check internet posts and see that I am not the only one with this issue. I commented on other posts that also someone with an S23 Ultra have the same problems after he made update 6.1 but Samsung erased it. so I made a post officially now, and I will make a public post also. I am just tired of these problems and the funny part is A54 works better than any S series and the battery lasts 5 to 6 hours longer than the S23 or S23 Ultra that I also had, and the S22 Ultra and S23 Plus. So, you pay premium phone and you get 3900 battery power and you buy a54 for 3 times less and have a 5000 power battery. You get an SD card option in A54 and S series NO! But you have ALWAYS MORE problems with the S series than with the A series. I HAD ALL NOTE models from the FIRST ONE, and now the S23 ultra and s22 ultra before, and my battery on my use did not last longer than up to 17h. at A54 same use and I get until evening 22-23 hours, even longer sometimes, and then you expect to be better from Samsung new S series but always the same problems over and over and over and over. S23 and s24, only people who don't know anything about phones go and buy a new model S24 series because the S23 and S24, all 3 models, they are 95% the same in every major characteristic. Why I can't turn off stupid notifications about software updates!!!!! WHY!!! I paid phone over 1000 euros and I have to keep notifications in the bar panel until I FINALLY DO A STUPID UPDATE AND AS ALWAYS new problems with new updates. COME ON!!!!! LET ME CHOOSE DO I WANT TO DO UPDATE OR NOT!! You gettin' my FRUSTRATION!! and much more. much more. Suden OVERHEATING, sudden BATTERY DRAIN, sudden FREEZ. and most of the problems are S PREMIUM SERIES!!! I think I will start making YouTube videos. It is time to force Samsung to change politics if they don't want to end up like Nokia.

This update appears to be CORRUPT. AND an attempt by Samsung to kill the model after multiple bugs, software and hardware failures. My life is ruined at this point due to wifi. Bluetooth and 6g connection issues after the last update. I had to reach out to corporate gor a resolution as it's affecting my health and safety due to 3 body worn medical devices reliant on Bluetooth and the wifi required to transmit the apps Data to my medical team. In addition my whole smart home is haywire and I am wheelchair bound! This is disgusting and a known issue. Was incredible out of box and now rendered USELESS. We need replacement to the S24. And ACCOUNTABILITY.

I hear and feel your frustration! I have about the same level of IT cell phone sector experience as you and like you said, this is unacceptable, and they do need to address this last update. I'm working to file a class action (or should I say another class action) about this specific device and it's failures. I am tired of wasting money on "FLAGSHIP " Devices that work for 2 days as expected. It literally stealing from consumers at this point.

Roberto. Like you, I have faced this problem and for two days my mobile has been charging most of the time and it just won't turn off. It's a really frustrating situation and I don't know what to do
