I have had my S22 Ultra for a few Months now which is riddled glitches, some more problematic than others. I was really exited when I ordered the custom phone from Samsung for around 1.5k I had 1tb of memory and a nice gray colour and also got a bonus on top of my trade in.

My old phone was an S22+ just under a year old and after I sent it in a 3rd party company sent me a demand for £75 towards my upgrade as they said it gad screen burn despite being barely a year old. However as my S22+ was a good phone I figured an upgrade to an S22 Ultra would be a step up and the built in 1tb would avoid app memory availability issues when using an SD card

When the phone is working OK its great when glitches kick in its a real pain and often renders the phone useless e.g when Microsoft apps fail to load or network issues calls constantly dropping etc

I would not recommend anyone who relies on their phone to get an S22 Ultra and my experience with this leads me to be wary of any new releases from Samsung until they have been release for sufficient time for Samsung to resolve the bugs in their devices. Probably around a year or so

If I had the time to produce and send all of the bug reports to Samsung it would be like a full time job doing what Samsung should do before releasing new devices.

The worst problem is Network and Conbectivity issues, which include

Calls dropping despite there veing a strong signal
Wifi dropping in apps despite there being a full signal or WiFi connected but no Internet
Signal dropping for no reason, most noticeable when streaming I.e constant black spots of silence and spinning circle trying to reconnect
Apps crashing or disappearing from screen
Dead links on Web pages
MS Office apps crashing or failing to load
Occasional crashes I e phone seems to get overloaded and freezes, goes blank and then comes back on
Occasional cogs when restarting saying optimising apps or says phone didn't shut down properly

There are other Occasional issues that I can't quite remember but on the whole it is not a very stable phone and certainly not worthy of the price tag and title of a flagship phone

I have come to the conclusion that the bulk of the problems are linked to the phones inability to maintain a strong network connection as this not only drops calls and connections etc but it is a main cause for office apps crashing or failing to load I e if Internet drops, many apps crash or freeze

I also think the inferior processor used in EU phones has a part to play as the Snapdraggon whilst does have its issues, it is more stable than the Exynos or whatever its called? I believe Samsung may be dropping this inferior chip in future releases?

I'm not sure if the next update to Android 13 will improve things but doubt it, I believe the Google Pixel phones have had this for a while but not released by Samsung yet I think it will need a firmware update once Samsung can identify what's casing problems or maybe vendors linked Microsoft might find a workaround for their apps

So in conclusion, I have had Samsung devices for many years from TVs RAM SSDs etc and always find Samsung to be a better brand but my experience with Samsung Mobiles leaves a lot to be desired and this S22 Ultra has been one of the most expensive yet the worst experience to date

Hopefully Samsung will put a bit more effort into resolving the issues rather than relying on temp fixes such as users having to perform many resets, restarts clear this clear that bla bla bla and us as consumers can use our equipment with the bug testing and fixes already sorted before releasing expensive products to market

No there not the account is still there. If you use samsung pass it remembers your accounts. I use 2 factor authentication all the time and never had a issue of accounts gone. All my accounts and passwords are stored in samsung pass when ever I factory reset my phone all I need to do to get my accounts back is download the app click sign it to get the login screen and use my fingerprint and samsung pass auto fills the email/username and password.

Is there a problem with you're s22 ultra or is the problem a 3rd party app or don't you have a s22 ultra and just making this up? If I had a issue with my s22 ultra I would be doing everything I can to see if its hardware or firmware. If its a issue I would be using safe mode or factory reset it the problem still there after a factory reset with no 3rd party apps I would be taking it back to change it. After all you only have 14days from the date you bought it to return it. If you don't return it before 14days then it's a trip to samsung service centre and upto 14days without a device!

Mine is a pre order one of the first releases, it was custom made by Samsung at extra cost to have 1tb memory and limited edition colour. It's not available to buy anywhere else. Many issues only occur after firmware updates and some issues get fixed. A firmware update does the same as a factory reset it wipes everything and installs new updated firmware to fix bugs and stability issues etc. So at some point Samsung will work out what's causing the problems so many people are having. It's possible the phone struggles running some 3rd party apps e.g Microsoft apps etc It's not unusual for some firmware cpu or ram versions etc to not like certain apps but the developers normally include fixes in future firmware updates. Also app developers update their apps to fix compatibility issues etc. Samsung are dragging their feet e.g with Android 13 which has been out now for a while but not for the Exynos models yet so they must be having problems getting it to work for now. I don't see any point in taking it to a service centre yet as I haven't done a reset myself and I already know the diagnostics don't return any errors on my phone as I have run them all several times. The most common problem is Network connectivity constantly dropping or being weak which causes issues with calls and apps e.g Microsoft Office apps, games and many other apps freeze or crash when the network connection drops, I notice the connectivity issues mist when streaming radio as it stops and goes silent until the phone can reconnect, sometimes for a few seconds and sometimes for a lot longer. A reset won't fix the network connectivity problem that is either a firmware, hardware issue or could be due to using an esim. I probably should have gone for the Google Pixel as it gets Android updates as soon as they are released has a better camera and much cheaper. So I'll put up with this as long as I can but will be changing brands if the issues are not resolved in a reasonable time. I've stuck with Samsungs up to now but think they have dropped the ball with this phone. I predominantly use my phone for work and some personal so need a powerful and reliable device and this phone isn't really up to the job. I've notified the organisations I work with so they can ensure this phone is not issue to thousands of colleagues until it has been thoroughly tested and any bugs fixed in oarticular the Network Connectivity problems as this would cause massive problems when using teams etc on the go. Re Samsung Pass, many organisations won't use Samsung Pass as 2nd factor e.g gov organisations etc they only use things like Microsoft Autheticator but that may change in time

Your s22 was not custom made by samsung. Unless it cost double or triple the original price of the s22 ultra its not custom made. Samsung do not custom make 1 or 2 phones unless you pay a extremely high price and wait months and months for it. Stop lieing that your phone was custom made when it's not. You can buy a 1tb s22 ultra no problem so it's not custom made by sansung. A firmware update does not do the same as a factory reset. A firmware update only updates the firmware it does not delete anything it just updates the firmware and old code or files can remain there causing issues exactly like you have. If a firmware did a factory reset you would need to restore your device after every update which you don't. Stop thinking a firmware update also does a factory reset. IT DOES NOT A FIRMWARE UPDATE ONLY UPDATES THE FIRMWARE AND KEEPS YOUR USER FILES AND APPS. if you do a factory reset it removes all your user files and apps.

You seem to know it all with android but you actually know nothing what so ever. If you don't do a factory reset or at least start your device in safe mode you can't say its a firmware issue. You only having a wild guess and your wild guess is completely wrong.

Thank you for your comments. I don't know it all, I can only go off past experience prior knowledge and research. I have ran in safe mode several times which revealed nothing and the main apps with issues are downloaded apps which are disabled in Safe mode, which in turn will prevent the possibility of identifying any issues with them also the ad hoc nature of the glitches mean that it will be difficult to diagnose them in safe mode etc. Your right in that it may not just be firmware, it's possible it could be the CPU or Network chip or at worst an irreparable limitation in the phone. Hopefully a firmware update will fix the issues. Thank you

I'm not sure how you want to describe it? Samsung call it custom made, others may call it none standard. It simply means the spec and colour are not available to buy anywhere else and only a select No of these devices were made I chose a colour that isn't available anywhere else and 1tb of storage that also isn't available anywhere else. Your correct, they do cost considerably more than the standard phone.

So if the device is fine in safe mode then there is no issues with firmware. All your problems are due to third party apps. You need to uninstall all your 3rd party apps then instal them 1 at a time until you get the issue again. As I say 1 at a time until the issues return then you know what app is causing the issue. Care to list all the apps you have installed? I can possibly tell you what app is causing the issues

It's none of those issues. You said your self the device is fine in safe mode with all other downloaded apps disabled so its a 3rd party app or apps causing the issue not a firmware or hardware issue. If its a firmware or hardware issue the problem will still be there even in safe mode. The problems go in safe mode meaning its a 3rd party app or apps causing you the issues not a firmware or hardware issue!
