WiFi drops and phone restarts continuously

Hi

My s22 ultra keeps restarting whenever the WiFi is on. I have spoken to my network provider who have advised that this a software issue and to let Samsung know too.

Every time the phone restarts, I go to the Samsung members app and the first message that pops up tells me that my phone incorrectly restarted and that a log will be sent to Samsung.

I hope a fix is made available as I'm only using my data at the moment for the internet and cannot use WiFi.

Exact same issue started today on my a53. So far phone is normal with WiFi off, turn it back on & it freezes followed by a reboot. Was stuck in a boot loop for a bit but now seems to just reboot normally as long as WiFi is on.

(Also, it's nice that Samsung will likely ignore this issue as much as possible but compensated me by spamming my email & notifications with meaningless "badges" for signing up & reading a thread. Thanks for the vapid "reward" but I'd rather my phone be fixed.)

I too installed the latest July update and it does not fix the issue. I just hope you tested it for more than 10 minutes before reviewing

good to hear.....I on the other hand can't get my phone to come out of the continuous boot loop.... so therefore I am unable to get the update downloaded and installed.....I just chucked it back in the drawer till the boot loop drained the battery.... lets hope the update has sorted you device... 🙂

to download the update you have to turn wifi off and use metered connection , when your ph starts up you only have about 2 seconds before it reboots (yours might be different to mine) You have to quickly slide down menu from the top and turn off wifi and that will stop the reboot loop , its very frustrating because sometimes ph reboots in about 1 second sometimes 2 or 3 seconds, or you can also press on aeroplane mode and reset wifi and internet setting which forgets the wifi and reverts to metered connection, good luck
