I am writing to express my concern regarding my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, which I purchased approximately two years and one month ago. While I have always trusted Samsung products, I am deeply disappointed by the recurring issues I have faced with this device.
Here is a summary of the problems:
About five months after purchasing the phone, it suddenly stopped working without any reason right after an update. I took it to an official Samsung repair center in the Netherlands, and it was repaired under warranty.
Recently, the phone has failed again just after the last update. Today, after using the phone normally, I found it completely unresponsive ( dead ).
A few hours later, I noticed the phone had become extremely hot inside my bag. It had heated up so much that it warmed everything around it, creating a very dangerous situation.
I am highly concerned about the safety risks posed by the overheating issue, as it could have caused serious damage or even injury.
I called Samsung customer service.. but they didn't do anything.. nothing was solved.. I wonder if actually they were listening to me. I also tried to contact Samsung page on Facebook and Instagram but the only thing they write is if i have a Samsung account!!!
Now that I have an expensive device that is now dead right after the warranty ended with just one month!! Something that never happened to me with other brands !! I'm extremely disappointed.
I wonder if the other Samsung devices we have in the house will be also dead after the warranty will end !!

Hello @Edwardjohn
Did the Samsung Service Centre advise what the issues was with your phone.
You can try generic troubleshooting steps such as > Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files.There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too { Possibly excluding the s²⁴ Series of phone's }
And
Safe Mode > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode/ turns off downloaded apps and themes etc which may highlight an app or theme that's causing conflict. Alternatively long press the power off button and then long hold on Turn Off to get to Safe Mode.
A last resort is a factory reset after backing up.
Other than that a Samsung Service Centre needs to have hands on again it seems.
If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask 😎

Hello @Nonita and may I take this opportunity to extend a Warm Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum Section for Uk and Eu Members. 👋
It might be beneficial to submit your post in your own regions section of the Samsung Community Forum Section for a more appropriate detailed response.
I'm sorry to learn of the issues your currently experiencing with your Samsung phone 😔
Some great advice provided by @GoanGeek 👍
I appreciate you have " called Samsung " however it does seem that your phone will need to be assessed by a Samsung Experience Store / Samsung Service Centre.
In my experience Samsung do act upon a phone heating up to above the acceptable variables.
There maybe a contact us section in your own regions support pages, and or the Samsung Community Forum Team in your region should reach out to you to assist you further.
In the Uk Samsung apply a 24 month Manufacturer's Warranty on their phone's, however they will still endeavour to provide assistance.
Personally I have my phone's covered under my Home Contents Insurance.
Some Bank accounts provide cover as a perk of the account.
Samsung do offer Samsung Care+ which does have to be purchased at the time of buying the phone or within a certain timeframe of purchasing the phone.
I wish you all the best with this. 😎

@Nonita: I'm sorry to hear that you have experienced these issues with your Galaxy S22 Ultra. While some heat is to be expected from the device while running power intensive applications, I do appreciate that this may be of concern if the phone was powered off/unresponsive at the time the issue occurred. If your phone is out of warranty then it should still be possible to arrange an an inspection with an engineer in your region, however please note that a charge would be applicable to cover the cost of the service and any necessary repairs. With this in mind, while I understand that you have been in touch previously, I do recommend getting in touch with Samsung Support in the Netherlands to explore your options, as an inspection will be able to provide some peace of mind, while offering the opportunity to return the phone to its factory specifications, so it's like new when it is returned to you.

I got my S22 Ultra brand new about 2.5 years ago and this phone has been awesome up until a few months ago. I am dealing with the same issues and my phone is unusable most of the time. I have tried all of the hacks: new sim card, restart phone, reset network settings, clear cache, I even did a factory reset and the problem persists. I do not get a signal inside most buildings and when traveling the phone constantly drops off the network. Samsung needs to fix this issue, this is horrible.
