Text/Chat Messages

I feel really daft asking this BUT does anyone know how you react to a text/chat message? 🤷🏽‍♀️

I have the s22 Ultra and use the chat messages setting and noticed recently that a lot of people are reacting to the message sent and then replying 

If anyone could shed some light I'd be really grateful

If you're using Google Messages with RCS enabled & the person you're texting also has RCS enabled you'll be able to react to messages, however if you're using standard SMS, it is not possible
