Can anyone help advise how I can make my S22 stop blacking out whilst on a call. I've tried suggestions found on Google but they don't seem to match what I can find on my phone. In this day and age you can be on a call for 5 mins selecting options before speaking to anyone and my screen goes dark and shuts off after about 10 seconds. 😊

Normally the only time the screen goes black is if the sensor notices that it's in contact with your skin like when your holding it near your ear.

Otherwise the above settings should apply .

Are you using a case?
Make sure the area near the camera is clean.

Ideally you should be able to use the phone while in a call.

Worst case scenario you could reset all settings under reset.

This happens when I have phone on loud speaker and I need to keep tapping the screen to come back on so I can select the next call option. I've tried everything but nothing works.

Try the Keep screen on while viewing, make sure you have it enabled by toggle on in screen time out settings. You must also keep your face visible to the camera for it to work.
