Samsung screen protector - s22 ultra

Tried this after the fingerprint scanner stopped working with the usually brilliant Whitestone dome glass protector.

For anyone considering one, I wouldn't bother. 

Yes, the fingerprint scanner works with it as it is ultra thin but it also has a tacky feel and using the Spen is now a pain due to the increased friction.

Worst of all though, is it doesn't adhere to the curve of the display so is constantly lifting at the edges.

Disappointed, especially considering this is an official Samsung item

I'm not the only one to have these issues either.

I've contacted them but only to advise their product doesn't work with the scanner... such a shame as its by far the best option for note devices.

It's a conundrum why your experiencing these issues with the Whitestone Dome @Madfish  😵‍💫

I have one fitted on my Samsung Galaxy s²² Ultra and it works flawlessly.

One extra step I personally take which I've mentioned on other threads is that after the 1st Uv Light curing and pushing the phone out of tbe jig to use the alcohol wipe to clear any excess loca silicone I also lightly press down on the phone's screen where the fingerprint scanner is located,  and then 2nd Uv light cure.

Also if necessary delete any previous fingerprints and then scan new one's. 

This isn't in the fitting instructions however.

I have a spare Whitestone, I'll give that a go... how long and how much pressure do you apply?

Hey @Madfish 

Place your thumb on the screen protector where the fingerprint scanner shows on the phones screen, and gently but firmly press down a few time's remembering not too hard as the protector is not truly secure at this stage as it needs that 2nd curing.

Sweet.

Just remember to press down 2 to 3 times on tbe scanner spot and around it.

Works for me.
