Samsung pin not working!

Ive had the same pin for 3 years. Today, my battery drained, so after putting it on charge i tried to enter the pin to log in but it said it was wrong! Ivs done it numerous times, done the soft reset, tried all the find my device reset pin hacks but nothing is working! This has never happened to me before and i cannot access my mobile at all. I have fingerprint enabled but it doesnt show up, only tells me to input my pin. Apart from a factory reset, is there anything else i can do as i have a lot of stuff on that device i cannot delete

Hm. This is very odd—as it's physically impossible for a PIN to change itself without some user input—so either that or a strange software glitch.

You mentioned you've attempted some methods, but not specifics.

Have you cleared the cache partition?

Have you attempted safe mode?

My mobile is always in my possession which is why this is so strange. I managed to log onto the samsung website, clicked 'lock device' and changed the pin. I entered that pin on my mobile, which worked just to remove the 'this device is lost' message but didn't actually do anything else. It went straight back to the enter your pin page, which i again wrote the same pin and now it's locked for 4 hours as it was apparently not the right pin!

I have tried safe mode. How do i clear the cache partition please?

Wow, that's very strange.

Clear cache partition
Turn off the device.

• Connect the phone to a computer.
Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Power key.
• When the Android logo appears, release
keys.
• Use the Volume Down button to highlight Wipe
cache partition.
• Press the Power button to select Wipe cache partition. Use Volume Down to highlight Yes.
• Press the Power button to confirm the action.
