Samsung keyboard ruined by oneui 6.1

I have an issue with my samsung keyboard after updating to oneui 6.1, as you can see from the attached image, I now have blank space across the bottom of my keyboard because for some reason it's been decided that that's where the voice to text option will be, but prior to the update I had more screen available for writing as the mic option was a part of the top bar, the second reference image is an example of it, please revert to this design, look at how much space I could save, consider the second image

Apart from an app cache clear, maybe worth trying the keyboard settings and try turning off the toolbar.

It's a change made with 6.1 so can-do on that front

I am always switching between all Google apps and all Samsung apps from time to time just too spice up my phone usage.

This doesn't solve it, this removes the functionality of voice to text entirely even though it used to be much better placed as part of the toolbar as evidenced with the second image of the jp keyboard

Google keyboard still has it on the top. If you which to change.
Also check out key cafe module via the good lock app.
As sometimes you can bring back features on there Samsung has removed.

As to why they do what they do be my guest.

I will check out gboard again but I preferred samsung keyboard all this time, I've sent feedback, hopefully they revert the change

Yeah samsung keyboard is just better, better organisation for the most part, just need them to revert that change they've made

I couldn't agree more. It's absolutely ridiculous to move from the top action row and force users to add the keyboard bottom bar, which I won't do.

My only solution is to set up a gesture to toggle to gboard for voice input, I don't want to lose so much screen just for 1 button.
I honestly think some ideas are made after a night of heavy drinking because they make no sense at all.
